Protective Ensemble Head-Mounted Viewer, “CPE-HMV”
program. OASYS has received a multi-million dollar
award from the U.S. Army RDECOM for 2300 units of
its Remote Eyepiece Display-Imager (“RED-I”).
The RED-I is a patent pending monocular Head-Mounted
Display (HMD) system that provides remote video from
any Thermal Weapon Sight (TWS) system with a field
of view equivalent to the TWS eyepiece.
The OASYS HMD attaches directly to standard issue
military helmets or protective eyewear and is even
small enough to fit behind the blast visor of the
Cupola Protective Ensemble (CPE). Other unique features
the OASYS RED-I are:
- Operates with either OLED or AMLCD micro displays;
- Provides see-through real world imagery;
- Full color or monochrome operation;
- Works continuously for more than 12 hours on
a single DL123 battery;
- System weight < 4oz including battery and controls;
- Compatible with other video sources such as Universal
Night Sight-Thermal (UNS-T) and Universal Night
Sight - Fusion systems; and
- Easily configurable to accept video from other
battlefield devices in either RS-170 or SVGA mode
